Brooklyn, New York - Ernest Jenning Recording Co. Saw and met these guys at Habana Calle 6 during SXSW 07. Their singer Gabe was nice enough to go to their van to get me one of their cds. They have a very driven sound and draw references in sound to Lou Reed.

I watched the new Guy Ritchie Gangster film, "Rock N Rolla" this weekend. They had some great song selections in the film. Most prominent was The Clash's old tune "Bankrobber." In honor of the movie and their track selection today's post is Bankrobber. I got the chance to see Mick Jones in his new band Carbon/Silicon at SXSW 08. My friend Mike bought Mick Jones a beer. Coolest guy ever. The band "The Subways" were also in the film as a band playing at a London club.
