Nataly Dawn is fun to watch on YouTube. This is why I was excited when she started a band called Pomplamoose with her boyfriend and fellow YouTuber Jack Conte.

Apparently, their first show was on January 14th in San Francisco. Sadly, the audioindie jet was down for maintenance so we didn't make it.

In honor of the Presidential Inauguration today, we present Cold War Kids covering Sam Cooke's "A Change Is Gonna Come." Today is a very historic event that will definitely change our country for the better. Sam Cooke's original of this song was written to reflect what was happening during the times of the sixties civil rights movement. It was originally recorded at Stax records in Memphis, TN. This song is very appropriate for today in that a statement of change has been made by the American public in that race does not matter for who they choose as President or any other office for that matter. I may not agree with all of Obama's ideals, but hopefully all of us can come together in the hope of a prosperous 2009 to set our country in the right direction.
